Fleksibilitas Kerja Remote sebagai Kebebasan dan Risiko Overwork: Studi Fenomenologi pada Pekerja di Era Digital

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi makna fleksibilitas kerja remote bagi pekerja di era digital. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi dengan melibatkan tiga partisipan yang memiliki pengalaman bekerja secara remote. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam semi-terstruktur dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik fenomenologis. Hasil penelitian menemukan lima tema utama, yaitu fleksibilitas sebagai kebebasan mengatur waktu dan tempat kerja, pembentukan kemandirian dan kontrol diri, dukungan terhadap work-life balance, tantangan kaburnya batas kerja dan kehidupan pribadi, serta fleksibilitas sebagai proses pembelajaran hidup. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa fleksibilitas kerja remote dimaknai secara ambivalen: memberi otonomi, kenyamanan, dan keseimbangan hidup, tetapi juga berisiko memicu overwork dan kesulitan melepaskan diri dari pekerjaan. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya kontrol diri, pengelolaan batas, dan dukungan organisasi dalam menciptakan praktik kerja remote yang sehat.
