Fenomena hubungan toxic, terutama yang berkaitan dengan perilaku posesif, dapat didefinisikan sebagai hubungan merugikan ketika salah satu atau kedua pihak memiliki pola perlaku tidak sehat hingga sering kali berdampak negatif pada kesehatan mental. Meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat mengenai kesehatan mental dan hubungan yang sehat di Indonesia menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini untuk memahami pengalaman perempuan yang terjebak dalam hubungan toxic. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi, di mana penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara semi-terstruktur terhadap empat remaja perempuan berusia 15-22 tahun yang memiliki pengalaman langsung dalam hubungan toxic. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil bahwa hubungan toxic memiliki karakteristik seperti kontrol berlebihan, perliaku posesif, dan dinamika kekuasaan. Partisipan yang menjadi sumber penelitian mengalami dampak psikologis berupa emosi negatif, perasaan kehilangan identitas, dan self-blaming yang berkepanjangan. Proses coping dan pemulihan yang dilakukan bervariasi, seperti belajar, berolahraga, dan mencari dukungan sosial. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang dinamika hubungan posesif dan perlunya dukungan bagi perempuan untuk mengatasi dampak negatif dari hubungan toxic, serta memberikan wawasan bagi praktisi psikologi dalam merancang intervensi yang lebih efektif.
