Abstrak

Pendidikan gizi sangat penting bagi Generasi Alpha, anak-anak yang lahir pada abad ke-21, untuk mencapai pertumbuhan dan perkembangan optimal. Generasi ini memiliki karakteristik unik seperti ketergantungan pada media sosial, preferensi berbelanja online, dan interaksi fisik yang terbatas, yang memengaruhi pola makan mereka. Studi menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan gizi yang tidak memadai dapat menyebabkan kebiasaan makan yang buruk, termasuk melewatkan sarapan, mengonsumsi camilan tidak sehat, dan konsumsi berlebihan gula serta makanan cepat saji, yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan dan perkembangan. Metode pendidikan gizi yang efektif untuk kelompok ini meliputi intervensi, kartu edukatif, dan platform digital seperti augmented reality yang dipadukan dengan kecerdasan buatan (AI), yang melibatkan anak-anak secara interaktif dan mempromosikan kebiasaan makan sehat dan berkelanjutan. Gizi yang tepat selama masa kanak-kanak dan remaja mendukung pertumbuhan fisik, perkembangan otak, dan fungsi kekebalan tubuh, dengan makronutrien dan mikronutrien seperti protein, zat besi, kalsium, dan vitamin memainkan peran vital. Pendidikan gizi tidak hanya meningkatkan keragaman diet dan perilaku makan, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada hasil pertumbuhan yang lebih baik, meskipun pendidikan berkelanjutan dan keterlibatan pengasuh sangat penting untuk dampak yang berkelanjutan.
