SME Finance in Developing Economies – A Bibliometric Study of Research Trends

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan dan menganalisis perkembangan penelitian mengenai SME Finance in Developing Economies melalui pendekatan bibliometrik. Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) memiliki peran strategis dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi, penciptaan lapangan kerja, dan pembangunan berkelanjutan di negara berkembang, namun masih menghadapi berbagai kendala dalam akses pembiayaan. Studi ini menggunakan data publikasi ilmiah yang dikumpulkan dari basis data bereputasi internasional dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik bibliometrik, meliputi analisis sitasi, kemunculan bersama kata kunci, serta visualisasi jaringan penulis, institusi, dan negara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tema-tema klasik seperti pembiayaan UKM, inklusi keuangan, dan pertumbuhan ekonomi masih mendominasi literatur. Namun, dalam beberapa tahun terakhir terjadi pergeseran signifikan menuju topik-topik baru seperti fintech, keuangan terdesentralisasi, inovasi hijau, dan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Selain itu, pola kolaborasi penelitian masih relatif terbatas dan terfragmentasi, dengan dominasi beberapa negara dan institusi tertentu. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penelitian pembiayaan UKM di negara berkembang telah berevolusi ke arah yang lebih inovatif dan interdisipliner, sekaligus menunjukkan adanya peluang riset lanjutan untuk memperkuat kolaborasi global dan eksplorasi tema-tema yang masih kurang dikaji. Studi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi strategis bagi akademisi, pembuat kebijakan, dan praktisi dalam mengembangkan agenda riset dan kebijakan pembiayaan UKM yang lebih inklusif dan berkelanjutan.
