Empowering the Guyub Rukun Women Farmers Group Through Training in Innovative Aloe Vera Food Processing

The community service activities carried out by students and lecturers from Diponegoro University in the Jombor sub-district aim to assist partners in enhancing the potential of aloe vera plants, which have not been fully utilized and remain limited in their application. Given this situation, the initiative seeks to increase the economic value of aloe vera plants through the development of innovative products such as aloe vera candies and jellies, while empowering the community, particularly women in the Guyub Rukun Women’s Group (KWT). Due to a lack of information, aloe vera plants are often viewed merely as ordinary plants and not utilized to their full potential. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce aloe vera plants and processed products made from aloe vera to the community, particularly the KWT Guyub Rukun group. The method used is Community-Based Participant Research through collaboration between UNDIP KKN students and the KWT Guyub Rukun Jombor group. This activity resulted in product prototypes, production guidelines, and community-based empowerment. Additionally, creative economy development based on the village was also conducted.
