Implementasi Skrining Lingkar Perut sebagai Upaya Identifikasi Risiko Obesitas Sentral pada Komunitas Sekolah Mutiara Bangsa

Abstrak

Obesitas sentral merupakan faktor risiko penting berbagai penyakit kardiometabolik, seperti diabetes melitus tipe 2, hipertensi, dan penyakit kardiovaskular. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan skrining antropometri sebagai upaya deteksi dini risiko obesitas sentral pada komunitas dewasa di Sekolah Mutiara Bangsa. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pengukuran lingkar perut, lingkar panggul, lingkar leher, lingkar lengan atas, dan lingkar betis, disertai edukasi kesehatan mengenai pencegahan obesitas sentral dan sindrom metabolik. Sebanyak 45 peserta mengikuti kegiatan dengan rerata usia 34,69 ± 9,05 tahun dan mayoritas perempuan (80,0%). Hasil skrining menunjukkan rerata lingkar perut sebesar 83,20 ± 11,59 cm, dengan 23 peserta (51,1%) teridentifikasi mengalami obesitas sentral. Temuan ini mengindikasikan tingginya risiko kardiometabolik pada masyarakat. Edukasi kesehatan yang diberikan meningkatkan kesadaran peserta mengenai pentingnya pemantauan status antropometri, pengendalian berat badan, aktivitas fisik teratur, dan pola makan sehat. Skrining antropometri berbasis komunitas merupakan pendekatan sederhana, murah, dan efektif dalam mendukung pencegahan penyakit tidak menular secara berkelanjutan.
