Pemanfaatan Glukosa Darah Puasa sebagai Pilar Edukasi dan Deteksi Dini Diabetes Melitus di Lingkungan Komunitas

Gangguan regulasi glukosa sering berkembang tanpa gejala pada populasi dewasa dan berkontribusi terhadap risiko penyakit metabolik. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) untuk skrining gula darah puasa pada 109 partisipan dewasa. Pemeriksaan dilakukan dengan metode point-of-care testing (POCT) disertai edukasi kesehatan. Rerata usia partisipan adalah 42,81±13,55 tahun dengan dominasi perempuan (67,9%). Rerata kadar gula darah puasa sebesar 93,12±38,11 mg/dL dengan median 84 mg/dL (rentang 70–291 mg/dL). Sebagian besar partisipan berada dalam kategori normal (93,6%), sedangkan prediabetes dan diabetes masing-masing sebesar 2,8% dan 3,7%. Meskipun demikian, rentang nilai yang luas menunjukkan adanya heterogenitas status glikemik, termasuk nilai ekstrem yang mengindikasikan hiperglikemia bermakna. Skrining berbasis komunitas ini efektif dalam mendeteksi gangguan glikemik secara dini serta mendukung intervensi promotif-preventif melalui edukasi gaya hidup sehat.
