Penerapan manajemen penelitian dakwah Islam dalam pengembangan modul "Tafsir Sosial" bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat perkotaan yang terpinggirkan dengan memberikan bimbingan keagamaan yang relevan secara sosial. Pendekatan ini mengintegrasikan ajaran Islam ilmiah dengan kebutuhan praktis masyarakat, mendorong pemberdayaan melalui pendidikan dan keterlibatan sosial. Penelitian tentang pendidikan dan dakwah Islam menyoroti pentingnya kompetensi intelektual dan spiritual pada kader ulama, yang memainkan peran kunci dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat dan perubahan sosial. Strategi dakwah yang efektif meliputi pendidikan formal, hafalan Al-Qur'an, dan praktik lapangan masyarakat, yang membangun kepercayaan dan partisipasi aktif dalam kelompok-kelompok yang terpinggirkan. Pengembangan modul yang peka budaya dan relevan secara kontekstual seperti "Tafsir Sosial" dapat meningkatkan dampak dakwah dengan mengatasi masalah-masalah sosial spesifik yang dihadapi oleh penduduk perkotaan yang terpinggirkan. Upaya tersebut sejalan dengan tujuan yang lebih luas tentang moderasi agama dan harmoni sosial yang ditemukan dalam penelitian pendidikan Islam.
