Abstrak

Hiperurisemia merupakan gangguan metabolik dengan prevalensi meningkat dan berperan dalam terjadinya gout serta penyakit metabolik lain. Keterbatasan akses pemeriksaan laboratorium di komunitas adat seperti di wilayah Kabupaten Lebak menyebabkan deteksi dini sering terabaikan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran kesehatan dan mendeteksi hiperurisemia melalui pemeriksaan kadar asam urat menggunakan metode point of care testing (POCT) yang cepat dan praktis. Sebanyak 59 warga dewasa di Kabupaten Lebak, Banten, mengikuti pemeriksaan dan edukasi mengenai pola makan rendah purin, hidrasi, serta aktivitas fisik. Rerata kadidar asam urat 8,25 ± 1,75 mg/dL dengan prevalensi hiperurisemia 88,14%. Pemeriksaan POCT terbukti efisien sebagai metode skrining komunitas dan efektif meningkatkan literasi kesehatan. Intervensi ini menegaskan pentingnya skrining kadar asam urat sebagai strategi promotif–preventif berbasis komunitas untuk menekan risiko gout dan komplikasi metabolik.
